Major boost for boating infrastructure delivers wind for boaties on Lake Macquarie

18 August 2025

Lake Macquarie boaties are set to benefit from safer and more accessible waterway infrastructure, thanks to the NSW Government’s Boating Infrastructure for Communities Grant Program.

Lake Macquarie City Council has been awarded $1,102,761 in funding to replace the deteriorated Croudace Bay Boat Ramp structure with a new three-lane, non-slip, and extended ramp.

The upgraded Boat Ramp will not only improve waterway safety and accessibility for local boaters, visitors, and families, but will also have significant environmental benefits by reducing sediment movement and marine ecosystem disruption.

The Minns Labor Government is committed to investing in better, safer and more accessible waterways, with 46 projects funded under the $23 million Boating Infrastructure for Communities Grant Program, part of the $44 million Boating Infrastructure and Dredging Scheme.
