Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Amanda Homard and Olivia Hughes, who have both been named finalists in the 2025 Westfield Local Hero Awards. These awards celebrate individuals who make an extraordinary difference in their communities, and Amanda and Olivia are shining examples of dedication and service. Amanda is the founder of the LIVEfree Project. With more than 20 years of experience, she has devoted her work to supporting children who are facing trauma and adversity, including the impacts of addiction, domestic violence and mental illness. Her focus on holistic, early intervention helps children thrive emotionally and academically, while also providing vital assistance to their families. Olivia is a valued member of the Nobbys Surf Life Saving Club and an essential part of the "Little Rippaz" team. Through her selfless volunteering, she helps children with disabilities enjoy the water and learn important beach safety skills. Her contribution also extends through lifeguarding and fundraising to improve accessibility and strengthen surf education for the wider community. Congratulations to Amanda and Olivia on this well-deserved recognition. Their commitment and compassion are an inspiration to us all.
