Bandfest Music Eisteddfod

19 November 2025

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I'd like to recognise the students and teachers who recently took part in this year's Bandfest Music Eisteddfod, an event that celebrates the talents of primary and secondary public school musicians. Bandfest offers a supportive space for students to perform, build confidence and develop their musicianship and is a highlight of the year for many school communities. Schools from across the Charlestown electorate and surrounding areas made a wonderful contribution to this year's event. In the secondary categories, congratulations go to the Warners Bay High School Jazz Ensemble and the Warners Bay High School Concert Band. At the primary level, I would like to congratulate the Eleebana Public School Training Band, New Lambton Public School Training Band, New Lambton South Primary School Concert Band, New Lambton Public School Concert Band, Warners Bay Public School Concert Band, Charlestown South Public School Concert Band and the Dudley Public School Concert Band. Each ensemble represented their school with pride and enthusiasm. I congratulate all participating students and extend my appreciation to the teachers, conductors and support staff who guide and encourage these young musicians. Their dedication helps foster a strong and vibrant music culture in our local schools.
