Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Next weekend, Charlestown Netball Club is hosting the 2024 Koori Netball Tournament which is now in it's twenty-fourth year. This is a truly wonderful community event where teams from all over New South Wales converge on Charlestown Netball Courts for two days of netball, and just as importantly, for catching up with family and friends. In its first year, nine teams initially competed, and this has grown exponentially, with one hundred and sixteen teams competing in this year's gathering. A "Spirit Award" is presented to one team in each division based on tournament organisers observations of team sportsmanship, on and off the field, comradery amongst teams and showing respect to officials, other players, and spectators over the course of the weekend. I'm very much looking forward to attending the tournament next weekend and want to particularly thank Dianne Pascoe, Peta Forder, and all at Charlestown Netball Club for hosting this very special tournament.
