Charlie's Run 4 Kids

14 May 2026

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Supporting families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives is a truly meaningful cause, and it is wonderful to see young people in our community stepping up to make a difference. I congratulate Whitebridge High School on raising $1,200 for Charlie's Run 4 Kids through their recent Pink Day fundraiser. On 1 April, students came together wearing pink to show their support and raise vital funds for families with children facing serious illnesses, including various forms of cancer. Charlie's Run 4 Kids does more than simply raise money. The organisation provides practical support and financial relief to families navigating incredibly challenging circumstances. Through its annual long‑distance relay, the team brings communities together, raises awareness and delivers real assistance to children and families in need of care and support. Every dollar raised by Whitebridge High School will go directly towards helping these families, and the compassion and generosity shown by students and staff should be commended. Their efforts are a wonderful reflection of the kindness and community spirit that exists within our local schools.
