Club Charlestown

12 November 2025

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Club Charlestown for its ongoing commitment to supporting local music and creating spaces where the community can come together. Through its recent "Rockin' the Green" initiative, the Club welcomed almost 600 people to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of food, friendship, and fantastic live entertainment. The event showcased the incredible talent of local and regional artists including Skyes Law, DV8, The Radiators, and Rock Rhapsody. It was a celebration of the creative energy that thrives in our region and a reminder of the important role that live music plays in community life. The concert formed part of the NSW Government's Vibrancy Reforms, which aim to revitalise local entertainment venues and strengthen the state's live music industry. By hosting events like this, Club Charlestown not only gives artists a stage to perform, but also fosters a sense of connection and pride among residents. I congratulate Club Charlestown for its dedication to supporting local talent and thank all performers, staff, and volunteers who helped make "Rockin' the Green" such a success. I look forward to seeing this wonderful initiative continue in the years ahead.
