Eve Kelly

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—At just six years old, Eve Kelly is already lighting up the world stage through dance. I would like to recognise Eve for her remarkable talent and congratulate her on an extraordinary achievement at such a young age. The talented Hunter dancer recently claimed the eight‑years‑and-under Dancer of the Year title at the Australian Showcase Dance Championships, earning an incredible opportunity to travel to Italy and represent Australia in the World Dance Movement competition this July. Eve, who attends Ablaze Dance Academy, has been dancing since she could walk and shines across a wide range of styles, including ballet, Broadway, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. Her winning performance at the Gold Coast competition in early January saw her take to the stage in a sparkly white costume, hair tightly pulled back, dancing beautifully to Auld Lang Syne. This achievement is also a proud family moment, with Eve's mum, Ellana Kelly, who works at Ablaze Dance Academy, helping to choreograph the award-winning routine. Congratulations, Eve, and best of luck in the next stage of the competition.
