Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I'm so very pleased to recognise the achievements of Geraldine Viswanathan, who grew up at Whitebridge and is going from strength to strength pursuing an acting career in Hollywood. After being shortlisted for the prestigious Heath Ledger Scholarship, Geraldine's breakout role was in 2018's Blockers. She has since starred in the Stan series Miracle Workers alongside Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame, Bad Education, Cat Person and The Beanie Bubble, and in very exciting news she is currently working on the next Marvel movie, The Thunderbolts. Marvel movies are international blockbusters and so this is another wonderful achievement for Geraldine. When asked in an interview about working with Hollywood stars, Geraldine responded, "I think my biggest take away from working with big names is that the 'real deal' people are truly kind and good people". That's good advice for us all. I have every confidence that Geraldine will continue to shine in Hollywood, and I send her, and her family, who still live at Whitebridge, my very best wishes on her successes to date with a lot more to come.
