Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Jack Simmons, who was awarded the D.G. Williams Medal for player of the match in the NPL Men's Northern NSW Grand Final. Jack produced a standout performance at Darling Street Oval, guiding Broadmeadow Magic to a 2–0 championship victory over the Lambton Jaffas. His efforts were central to the club's success and earned him the highest individual honour of the grand final. At just 23 years of age, Jack has already shown great resilience and determination in his football career. A former Newcastle Jet, he rejoined Broadmeadow Magic from Sydney Olympic this season, working hard to secure his place as a first-grade regular. His return has been a crucial factor in helping the club secure the 2024 premiership and championship double for the second consecutive year. Jack also played an important role in ensuring Broadmeadow Magic's place in the inaugural Australian Championship campaign. His talent, commitment and team-first attitude have made him an invaluable asset to his club and a respected player in the competition. Congratulations to Jack Simmons on this well-deserved recognition and on his outstanding contribution to Broadmeadow Magic's success.
