Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—The Lake Mac Awards celebrate the best and brightest of the Lake Macquarie City community, and I am pleased to report that many of the 2025 nominees are residents of the Charlestown electorate. It is so inspirational to learn about the incredible achievements of the nominees across all thirteen categories, especially the Charlestown electorate-based nominees for the city's highest accolade: Lake Mac Ambassador. Dr Alyce Barnes of Dudley is a physical activity researcher who has spearheaded groundbreaking campaigns to increase physical activity among girls and women. Aaron Carter of Dudley is Deputy Principal Wellbeing at Wiripaang Public School and has helped the school develop into a leader for community engagement. Ann-Maria Martin of Cardiff South is the founder of Survivor's R Us, a support and advocacy service for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence and advocating on their behalf. Leaders of Charlestown electorate-based organisations have also been nominated: Bradley Dunn, CEO of the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Suicide Prevention Network, and Anna Noon, co-founder of the Groundswell Collective. My congratulations to the nominees and I wish them all the best!
