Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise and congratulate Max Neal of Whitebridge High School, who was recently presented with a Nanga Mai Award at a ceremony in Parramatta. The Nanga Mai Awards acknowledge the outstanding achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in New South Wales public schools, recognising excellence across a wide range of endeavours. Max was one of only sixteen students statewide to receive this distinguished honour. Max was recognised for his outstanding academic excellence, positive attitude, and strong commitment to his education and future. He is a hardworking and conscientious student who consistently strives for success in all that he does. His determination and enthusiasm make him a valued member of the school community and a role model for younger students. Beyond the classroom, Max's respectful nature and leadership qualities reflect the values of perseverance and integrity that the Nanga Mai Awards aim to celebrate. I warmly congratulate Max on this exceptional achievement and commend him for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to learning. He is an inspiration to his peers and to the entire Whitebridge community.
