Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Congratulations to Melanie Foster, runner-up for Coach of the Year in the 2025 Northern NSW Female Football Week awards. Melanie coaches the under-10s girls team at Charlestown Junior Football Club and has been a dedicated mentor to this group for several years. Her passion for the game and for creating a supportive environment has made her a much-loved figure at the club. This year, Melanie also played a key role in establishing an over-30s women's team for the 2025 season, which she will help coach. Melanie's focus is always on making sure her players feel safe, have fun and continue to grow both on and off the pitch. She brings a calm and approachable presence to the club and is always looking for ways to make it more welcoming for women and girls. Melanie is a much-loved member of the Charlestown Junior FC community and we are lucky to have leaders like her in our local clubs.
