Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Congratulations to Merewether Public School's Pink Diamonds and Merewether Mermaids on their outstanding performances at the FISAF New South Wales State Aerobics Championships. Competing against some of the state's strongest school aerobics teams, both groups delivered exceptional routines to earn silver medals in their respective Primary Large Teams divisions. The Pink Diamonds, made up of talented Year 3 and 4 students, impressed the judges with a polished and energetic performance, while the Merewether Mermaids, comprising Year 2 students, also achieved an outstanding second‑place finish through their enthusiasm, teamwork and dedication. These remarkable results are a testament to the countless hours of training, commitment and perseverance demonstrated by every student, as well as the encouragement and guidance provided by their teachers, coaches and families. Following their success at the State Championships, both teams have now qualified for the FISAF National Championships in Queensland this September, where they will proudly represent Merewether Public School and our local community on the national stage. Congratulations once again to the Merewether Mermaids and the Pink Diamonds on this outstanding achievement. Every success is wished as they continue their exciting journey and compete at the National Championships.
