Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Toby Winter, a talented young rugby league player from Dudley whose dedication and hard work have earned him an exciting opportunity with the Newcastle Knights. The 18-year-old Dudley Magpies junior has recently signed a contract extension with the Knights through to the end of the 2029 season, marking a significant milestone in his developing career. A graduate of Hunter Sports High School, Toby has progressed through the local rugby league ranks and continues to demonstrate enormous promise on the field. A skilful fullback or centre, Toby enjoyed a standout season last year when he was awarded the Andrew Johns Medal, recognising him as the Knights' best under-19 SG Ball Cup player. He also made his debut in the club's under-21 Jersey Flegg side at just 17 years of age. Toby's impressive year also saw him represent the Australian Schoolboys in Papua New Guinea and he has since spent time training with the Knights' NRL squad. Toby's journey from local junior football to the Knights system is a wonderful example of the talent emerging from our region. I congratulate him on this achievement and wish him every success in the years ahead.
