Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—There are so many wonderful community organisations in the Charlestown electorate but I have a particular appreciation for the Windale Men's Shed. The Men's Shed has been operating since 2006, and is such an important part of the local community, available to all those who can donate time and use their skills, knowledge and personal experience for the benefit of the Shed and the broader community. In January, I got the chance to catch up with the members and management of the Men's Shed. It was great to hear about the services they offer their members, including free hearing tests and information about staying healthy, and how the Shed provides a space where men can develop new skills and friendships. The Windale Men's Shed brings such wonderful benefits to Windale, the broader Charlestown electorate community and beyond. My thanks to Men's Shed President Roger Greenam OAM, for his many years of service to the community; to secretary Carole Lawrence for showing me around, and to Garry, Steve, Grahame, another Garry, Michael, Tony, Peter, and Robert for morning tea and a chat!
